Advanced Analytical Technologies , Inc.

http://www.aati-us.com

Advanced Analytical Technologies, Inc. (Advanced Analytical) was founded in 1998 in Ames, IA with the mission of bringing new technology to market. This privately-held corporation is comprised of a team of highly-qualified scientists, engineers and support personnel whose specialties include flow cytometry, cell biology, industrial and clinical microbiology, spectroscopy, analytical chemistry, computer technology, optical engineering, and dedicated manufacturing. The first product, a rapid bacteria detector (RBD) was developed in collaboration with a major U.S. beverage company. This product was released to the general public in 1999 as the RBD 2000 Model. The technology, protected under Patent No. US 6,473,171 B1 (issued October 29, 2002), provides low-level, accurate and reproducible measurement of microbes in a variety of matrices. Detection limits of 10CFU/ml are routinely obtained in run times of 30 minutes or less. In 2003, a fully-automated version of the RBD was released as Model 3000. This instrument provides totally hands-free preparation and analysis of up to 36 samples at a time. With this release, the Advanced Analytical product line was expanded to include Test Kits to further simplify standardized analysis of Total Viable Organisms and specific pathogens. The steady advancement of Advanced Analytical in the rapid bacteria detection market is largely attributed to collaborations with world-class research institutions and the backing of major corporations and government entities. Collaborations to date include NASA, EPA, USGS, USDA, SCCWRP (Southern California Coastal Water Research Project), Rockefeller University, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Advanced Analytical has presented the results of these collaborative studies at major microbiological conferences for the past five years. The success of Advanced Analytical continues through increased recognition by the scientific community, increasing revenue from sales, greater funding through grants, and customer satisfaction with products and services.

Kore Technology Ltd

http://www.kore.co.uk

Kore Technology is one of Europe's leading independent analytical technology innovation companies. We design and develop innovative analytical instruments using multi-skilled teams. Kore offers instrumentation for high sensitivity gas analysis in the field or laboratory, and systems and devices for surface analysis and nanotechnology research, based upon our versatile platform technologies in time-of-flight mass spectrometry and ultra-high-vacuum devices. Kore specialises in designing and building customised mass spectrometers, related components, and other vacuum-based equipment. We are able to offer instrument customisation to our clients at sensible prices because we endeavour, where possible, to use existing modules from our large array of previous designs. This, combined with whatever one-off engineering is required, allows us to create instruments tailored to our clients' specific requirements. We often work with research organisations, to develop application specific research tools. We also work with companies to develop new products optimised for their chosen market. We work as an independent instrumentation development laboratory for one of the world's largest analytical and measurement equipment companies-the Horiba Corporation of Japan-and during our 15 years of operating we have delivered analytical instruments to most UK universities and government laboratories as well as major European and USA universities and government research laboratories.
