SEA-CAN Containers is an Alberta owned company that has been producing high quality wooden shipping boxes, crates, Specialty Pallets, crane pads and pipe bunks since 1976. SEA-CAN Containers was initially established as an Alberta company after a local businessman purchased it is 1976 from the "SEAttle Box Company of CANada." SEA-CAN Containers was acquired by a new management group in 1989 and changed its name to SEA-CAN Containers (1989) Ltd. This name stands today. Since its environmentally friendly company, producing collapsible, reusable containers. We are known to say ... "Save the environment, use and reuse a Sea-Can." In the winter of 2000 SEA-CAN Containers acquired its existing property shown to meet the production demand of the containers and better service our customers. Our products are used locally, nationally and for foreign export. We specialize in the now famous "SEA-CAN" for packaging all types of products, including mud, cement, chemicals, contaminated soils. Etc. for both domestic and export markets. It is an environmentally friendly wooden container and is collapsible and reusable for many years. Although the SEA-CAN is collapsible, it has proven itself to be strong and one of the most reliable containers built today. A 4'x4' crate, (app. 60 cubic ft), complete with base can be collapsed to less than 16 cubic feet for shipment to remote location, where it can be easily assembled, or stored for future use. This will allow in excess of 175 collapsed crates to be loaded on a standard 45' highboy trailer. The Sea-Cans can withstand some of the most severe climates experienced in the high arctic. The Sea-Can has consistently proven to be the superior method of shipping all types of materials to the arctic, and abroad. It will withstand tremendous weights and can be stacked without concern. Sea-Cans are stocked in 4'x4' sizes 48", 32", or 24" heights, with standard or heavy bases. Other sizes can be produced very quickly. We also supply 20' and 40' steel shipping containers.
