Klann is an ISO 9001:2000 registered company. Our company has made considerable investments to develop a top flight quality assurance and quality control program-both in terms of people and capital investment. Our technical/quality capabilities include SolidWorks CAD/CAM, computerized SPC, UL recognition / FDA registration, and IQMS plant management system with real-time monitoring. Our metrology lab is equipped with a precision video measuring system and Gage Talker networked stations, and most recently, a state of the art OGP Video Measurement System with touch probe option, enabling automated inspections / SPC Data collection. While we have invested in new measurement systems to improve our capabilities, utilizing statistical quality methods is not new to Klann Plastics. We have been providing Process Capability Studies, First Article Inspections, SPC data on critical to quality characteristics, and Material Certs to our customers… since 1990. Quality assurance begins at Klann with the customer… and following our customer's requirements… includes selection of suppliers and materials. We purchase plastic resins only from approved suppliers who provide a Certificate of Analysis that the specific material lot conforms to specifications. Frankly, there are always "deals" presented to us for material available without "certs". Klann does not participate in these for a simple reason: off-spec material could easily jeopardize the long term performance of our customer's part. From receipt to eventual use, material is carefully stored and handled to insure that it is contaminant free when molded. Although it may sound trite, at Klann we believe that quality is everybody's job.

Sovrin Plastics was founded in 1968. In 1980 it started injection moulding paediatric nebulisers and in 1985 decided to install cleanrooms. Today it employs 150 people, and 50% of its injection moulding is carried out in cleanrooms. Sovrin has a stable of 52 Demag injection moulding machines ranging from 25 to 240 tonnes. Sovrin also has a toolmaking facility and employs 14 full time toolmakers.
