Bow Valley Energy Ltd. (Bow Valley) is an oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company with operations in Alaska and the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. On May 31, 2007, the Company disposed of its Canadian oil and natural gas interests. On March 15, 2007, the Company announced the acquisition of a United Kingdom North Sea development asset (the Peik Acquisition). The Company acquired, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bow Valley Petroleum (UK) Limited, an undivided legal interest in United Kingdom petroleum production license number P.090, which comprises a 66.67% working interest in United Kingdom Block 9/15a, which contains a portion of the Peik field, and a 15% working interest in Block 9/10b West located in the United Kingdom sector of the North Sea. Serica Energy plc is an international oil and gas exploration and production company with primary activities in the United Kingdom, North Sea, Spain and Indonesia. Serica has properties in Western Europe and South East Asia. In South East Asia, it holds interests in Indonesia and in Vietnam. The Glagah Kambuna Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) covers an area of approximately 380 square kilometers and lies offshore North Sumatra adjacent to the Asahan Offshore Production Sharing Contract (PSC). The Biliton PSC covers an area of approximately 3,940 square kilometers in the Java Sea. Sercia holds a 45% interest in the Biliton PSC and remains the operator. The Kutai PSC in East Kalimantan covers an area of around 4,700 square kilometers in the Mahakam Delta. As of February 2008, Serica held a 78% interest in the Kutai PSC and was the operator. In August 2008, it sold a 15% interest in the TAC to Salamander Energy plc. As of August 29, 2008, Serica’s interest in the Kambuna TAC was 50%.
