Serica Energy plc is an international oil and gas exploration and production company with primary activities in the United Kingdom, North Sea, Spain and Indonesia. Serica has properties in Western Europe and South East Asia. In South East Asia, it holds interests in Indonesia and in Vietnam. The Glagah Kambuna Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) covers an area of approximately 380 square kilometers and lies offshore North Sumatra adjacent to the Asahan Offshore Production Sharing Contract (PSC). The Biliton PSC covers an area of approximately 3,940 square kilometers in the Java Sea. Sercia holds a 45% interest in the Biliton PSC and remains the operator. Niko Resources Ltd. is engaged in the exploration for, and the development and production of, natural gas and oil in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan and Kudistan. In India it holds interests in three onshore and three offshore blocks. In Bangladesh, it holds interests in three onshore blocks. In Pakistan it holds interests in four offshore blocks and in Kurdistan it holds an interest in one onshore block. The Company also has minor interests in oil and gas properties in Canada. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008 (fiscal 2008), approximately 41% of the Company’s total revenue was derived from natural gas production from the Hazira Field in India and approximately 39% of the Company’s total revenue was derived from natural gas production from the Block 9 Field in Bangladesh in fiscal 2008.
