WIL's employment counsellors are a diverse group. We come from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds. We are all trained in Common Assessment Process, a training that is specific to the London employment sector. All members of our employment counselling team have a good understanding of the resources available in the community and are knowledgeable in document translation and credential evaluation for individuals trained outside of Canada. Employment counsellors use respect, empathy, genuineness, and excellent listening and communication skills to develop the client-counsellor relationship. These skills help establish a relationship with clients by building trust and rapport. It is this solid relationship that enables us to work with our clients to develop an employment action plan.
