Amerimax has a rich and proud history built on customer service and industry innovation. With manufacturing expertise originating back to the early 1950's, Amerimax has been providing original equipment manufacturers, contractors and distributors with a multitude of creative product solutions. Our humble beginnings started as the California Trailer Metal Company supplying the Mobile Home Industry with aluminum siding in Southern California. Using innovative metal fabrication processes and savvy distribution practices, our company became a leading supplier of sidewalls for both the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industries. After establishing a consistent record of supplying a quality and cost-conscious product, our company grew through a series of mergers, acquisitions, and company reorganizations that eventually became known as AMAX Aluminum, a vertically integrated organization focused on supplying the expanding fabricated aluminum market. In 1977, Alumax a wholly owned subsidiary of AMAX began producing numerous aluminum and steel products for a variety of industries. With diversification and expansion in high gear, Alumax became a major player in the ever-growing aluminum manufacturing industry. Our product lines included a complete line of Recreational Vehicle & Manufactured Housing exterior cladding systems, RV doors, patio products, vinyl windows, and custom steel fabrication. In 1996, Alumax Fabricated Products, a division of Alumax Inc., was sold to a group of investors and became Euramax International, Inc., a multinational organization with over 35 manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the U.S. and Europe.
