Dry Type Transformers

Olsun Electrics Corporation

http://www.olsun.com

The OLSUN Electrics Corporation was established in 1950 in Richmond, Illinois to serve the electronics industry then proliferating in the greater Chicago area. The company was purchased by its present owner in 1965 and its product scope expanded to include power and distribution transformers. The company initially concentrated on serving the OEM and brand label markets. We have successfully served the OEM accounts, some continuously since the 60's, such as Allen-Bradley, Reliance Electric, Mitsubishi, Telemechanique, KT-Swasey, etc. Brand labeling of OLSUN manufactured standard and special transformers for various recognized and respected brand-name accounts has been and still is an important segment of the OLSUN total business. Since the 60's OLSUN has been emerging as an independent manufacturer of high quality power and distribution dry type transformers. We have the unique ability to produce not only standard units but also to design and build highly customized transformers to the customers exact requirements. Among the industry leaders who have been users of these products are AT&T Research Center, Martin Marietta, Central Illinois Public Service Co., City of Springfield Illinois Public Utility, Transocean Offshore, Lucent Technologies, State of Wisconsin University System, Boeing Corporation, Exxon, Shell, Aramco and Amtrak. OLSUN currently maintains manufacturing facilities and its corporate headquarters in Richmond, Illinois and additional manufacturing facilities in Spring Grove, Illinois and Shawano, Wisconsin. We currently product conventional transformers from 5 VA thru 7,500 in voltages through 35kV. All of our transformers are built to exceed the standards set by NEMA, ANSI, IEEE and UL/CSA. To assure compliance with the applicable standards as well as any special requirements of our customers, we maintain a 100% test policy. All transformers are tested not once, but several times during the manufacturing process. We maintain a quality control program covering all aspects of quality assurance.
