PerifiTech Inc. a Cleveland, Ohio-based, C-Corp was established in 1989, with a vision that storage management and data security would emerge as a critical, convergent technology as PC connectivity evolved into networking. The technical premise on which PerifiTech's Aerial Series was first developed back in the early 1990's, was that despite faster processors, data transfer rates, and LAN architectures, the age-old bottleneck of poor disk I/O went unaddressed. PerifiTech's unique and patented "SCSI Enhancement Concept" has eliminated this bottleneck. The result is faster access to information by users, higher integrity backups to fit within any time window, and sizeable reductions in storage cost. The PerifiTech Aerial Series of fault-tolerant file servers, disk array subsystems, and data security (backup/restore) solutions has evolved, over the past ten years, into a complete storage management system designed for mission-critical, corporate clients in such demanding environments as finance, medicine, engineering, and government. PerifiTech is currently designing SuperSystems for the industry's fastest growing sectors: e-commerce and Internet technology with unparalleled load capacity and speed. With a worldwide network of factory-trained, highly technical Business Partners (Resellers), PerifiTech clients are supported by the highest level of engineering services available in the industry.

MDL Corporation

http://www.mdlcorp.com

MDL Corporation, a privately held company formed in 1990, is a recognized leader in UNIX and SCSI system integration. MDL specializes in cross platform desktop video conferencing and video capture products, mass storage enhancement products, archival backup solutions, and proprietary software products for HP and other UNIX systems. Much of MDL's success was built on providing innovative, leading edge solutions for better HP UNIX performance, custom integration, outstanding customer service, and expert technical support. During its early years, MDL focused on providing solutions in the areas of data storage and backup for the HP UNIX marketplace. In 1990, MDL was the first to offer removable winchester disk systems and SCSI bus disk products for HP/Apollo workstations. In 1992, MDL added on support for 4mm and 8mm tape devices for Apollo Domain systems. MDL provided new solutions for a system that was considered obsolete, when no other company did. In 1993, MDL produced unique, specialized add-ons for HP UNIX workstations. MDL produced the EISA-based fast SCSI interfaces for HP systems: the Fast and Narrow SCSI interface and driver (FANS) which is the highest performance 8-bit wide add-on SCSI bus interface available; and the Fast and Wide SCSI interface and driver (FAWS) which is the highest performance 16-bit wide add-on SCSI bus interface available. The company then developed the EISA bus expansion box for HP workstations (EX 700) which enables optimum expansion and the widest range of storage capacity for HP/Apollo workstations. In 1994, MDL released the Disk Segmentation Driver (DSD) for HP systems. This enabled HP UNIX systems to access the entire capacity of SCSI disk drives and RAID systems exceeding 4 gigabytes in size. In 1995, MDL developed the TriadServer Network File Server appliance, a fast and reliable network server that is designed to give the network added power, resources, and flexibility with up to 24 separate network interfaces. Then, to expand its line of products, MDL embarked on the desktop video conferencing track, and in November 1996, MDL introduced the scsiCam, a high performance, slotless, multi platform video capture product that works on any computer system with a SCSI bus: UNIX, Windows NT, Windows 95, and other systems. Initially configured to captures video at up to 24-bit quality in frame sizes up to 352x288, scsiCam now can capture video at up to 640x480 frame size. ScsiCam will also work with supported video conferencing software with features such as application sharing, whiteboard, videophone directory services, videophone call waiting and call holding, and video-email. In May 1997, MDL Corporation acquired the rights to Communique! and OpenDVE award-winning desktop video conferencing and collaboration software package from Netscape Communications Corporation. Under the licensing agreement, MDL distributes, supports, maintains, and is upgrading Communique! and OpenDVE. The company is adding new video conferencing standards to these products. The company is supporting existing customers to satisfy their maintenance requirements. Also, MDL is coordinating this software closely with its multi platform, open system video capture product, scsiCam. For international distribution of Communique!, MDL has signed agreements with companies in Japan and the United Kingdom. MDL believes in providing quality products, service, and technical support. MDL is committed to providing solutions to customer needs.
