Chordip Ltd

http://www.chordip.com

Chordip was established in 1988 as a development partner for chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturers needing specialised technical resources. We pioneered access to the vast technical resources in Russia, identifying scientists with expertise in complex chemistry and organizing dedicated Chordip research groups. We made a major commitment to secure, long-term relationships in the region by establishing an office in central Moscow fully staffed by a highly professional Russian team, including skilled managers, chemists and linguists. Our entrepreneurial approach and commitment to technical excellence allow us to meet the highest quality standards at highly competitive prices.

Sea Lion Technology , Inc.

http://www.sealiontech.com

Sea Lion Technology was founded in 1975 and has grown to occupy a 90-acre site in Texas City, about two-thirds of which is a green belt. The company is privately-held with partial ownership by most of our 60 employees. Sea Lion's first products were based on nitration of alkylphenols, a business which today provides still a substantial portion of revenues. More important to Sea Lion's future is the steady growth of our custom manufacturing business. During the past few years, Sea Lion has provided products or services to 11 of the largest 35 (in revenue) North American chemical companies, with custom manufacturing projects constituting the majority of these clients. Sea Lion is committed to not only maintaining compliance with all environmental, safety and health regulations, but to demonstrating deeper regard for the welfare of our employees and our community. Sea Lion has consistently maintained a safety incident record much better than the industry average, and has been recognized by the Texas Chemical Council repeatedly with their Distinguished Service Award as among the safest small chemical plants in the state. The company is also a member of the National Safety Council, Texas Safety Association, and SOCMA, whose principles of Responsible Care we follow. Our participation in a Local Emergency Planning Committee, Citizens Advisory Panel, and Industrial Mutual Aid System is evidence of a commitment further recognized by receiving the Caring for Texas Award of the Texas Chemical Council. Sea Lion extends our application of the principles of stewardship to our customers through a rigorous product quality assurance program. A major portion of our facility is ISO-9002 certified, and we are able to deliver liquid products to freight-logical customers through our own fleet of tank trucks. More important to our custom manufacturing clients is our appreciation of the value to them of their proprietary technical information, which once received under secrecy agreement we jealously protect as if it were our own. Sea Lion specializes in the synthesis of aromatic organic compounds. Examples of specific syntheses in which we have considerable experience are given on our Technical page; but it is our innovative approach to reaction and purification design in a broad variety of synthesis processes, which we believe distinguishes us as a custom manufacturer. A special case is aromatic nitration, in which we can compete with any company in North America. Sea Lion generally runs at high capacity utilization, except for our pilot plant. As discussed in Services, we can usually add sufficient value, initially through piloting which provides market development quantities, to justify the burden of new capital, which we often share with our client. Sea Lion has the breadth and depth of experience required to manage the process, environmental, safety, and quality issues of a large project; yet is able to offer the client the full focus on any project of our experienced staff.
