Blachford is a leading manufacturing company providing industries with innovative, custom-designed industrial products. With over eighty years of experience, and five North American manufacturing locations, we serve a wide range of markets including construction and off-highway equipment, commercial vehicles, plastics, steel, rubber, metal-working and wire. The quality management system in all five of our plants has ISO 9001 certification, and four of our plants also have ISO/TS 16949. Both Blachford Inc. and Blachford RP expect to gain ISO 14001 accreditation in 2008. Our main product lines share the following characteristics: Industrial materials Batch process manufacturing Specialties rather than commodities Mainly mixtures, rather than pure chemicals Many are specifically tailored for particular customers Our main product ranges include the following: Lubricants, coatings and corrosion inhibitors used in the production of wire Lubricants, coatings and corrosion inhibitors used in the production of cold and hot rolled steel Metal working lubricants and compounds, such as corrosion inhibitors and drawing compounds Noise reducing materials, such as sound absorbers, sound barriers and vibration damping materials Floor covering systems for commercial vehicles Process aids and anti-tack agents for rubber Lubricants, process aids and heat stabilizers for plastics Lubricants for powdered metals Gelling agents for oil and gas well fracturing, as well as many other uses Being a responsible corporate citizen, especially in terms of the health and safety of our employees and customers, is a core Blachford tenet. Our concern extends to the communities where our plants are located, and to the protection of the environment at large. For over a decade, H.L. Blachford Ltd. has met all the requirements of the Responsible Care&reg program, which is a voluntary industry-wide commitment to the safe handling of our chemicals from inception to disposal.
