Dave was the founder of Dutchmen trailers and fifth wheels and Four Winds motorhomes. Both successful companies that were ultimately sold to Thor Industries. Dave has been in the RV industry since 1962. His prior companies were known for producing high value, high quality products. President, Steve Bennett, has extensive background in the steel fabrication business. His company is an integral supplier for steel hardware and furniture used in the Open Road brand. This key component will provide value added to our products. Steve oversees the daily operations of Pilgrim International, Inc and is responsible for future strategic planning, expansions and acquisitions. Partner Bill Harris has been in the industry since 1972. The majority of this time spent on the supply side of the RV business. Bill also has a great deal of experience in the sales and marketing with Carriage Inc. and Gulfstream Coach, Inc. His vast experience will provide product expertise and marketing direction. Larry Hughes had 28 years of experience with Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc. As Vice President of Sales, he directed all of the Fleetwood trailer/fifthwheel plants throughout the United States and Canada. The combined vision of these founders has made Pilgrim International the success it is today , and they're just getting started.
Hyland was founded in 1975 as an architectural metal fabricator specializing in specialty aluminium and stainless steel fabricating. In February 1990, Hyland moved to its current location in Bolton, Ontario from Mississauga. Hyland diversified into trailer manufacturing in the spring of 1992. Initially, Hyland manufactured small box utility trailers as an opportunity to use available manufacturing capacity during slow business cycles in the architectural metal business. By 1996, the trailer division had grown so much that Hyland made the decision to become a full time trailer manufacturer. Today Hyland Limited has become one of the largest single producers of utility and snowmobile trailers in Ontario. Hyland also manufactures motorcycle, landscape, deck over, car hauler and custom trailers. There is a "Hyland Difference"! When Hyland entered the trailer business, we wanted people to understand that Hyland was committed to manufacturing and supplying the best quality and most reliable line-up of trailers on the market. Karavan Trailers, Inc is a manufacturer of Original Equipment and Private Label Boat, Watercraft, Utility, Snowmobile, and other recreational trailers. Karavan started in Hartford, Wisconsin on June 23rd 1986 by brothers Mike and Scott Boyd. By 1994 Karavan had outgrown its Hartford facility. The Boyd's planned and constructed a new factory and offices in Fox Lake, Wisconsin and moved to its new state of the art facility in January 1995. Karavan has since grown to be one of the largest recreational trailer manufacturers in the United States, with dealers and distributors worldwide. Karavan has recently undergone another expansion, doubling the size of the original Fox Lake facility to over 200,000 sq ft.
