Peterson Farms is a fully integrated, privately owned poultry company with headquarters in Decatur, Arkansas. Founded in 1939 by Lloyd Peterson, the company is primarily known for its genetic research and its production of top-quality breeder poultry, but Peterson Farms is also the parent company of a Processing Division, Peterson LP Gas, L&L Farms and Decatur General Store. Peterson Farms has more than 1,000 employees at its Decatur facilities. We have four hatcheries with a combined capacity to hatch more than 2 million eggs per week. These hatcheries allow us to provide chicks to local growers (who supply our processing division). In addition, we have a state-of-the art feed mill that manufactures approximately 9,500 tons of finished feed per week and has a capacity of up to 12,000 tons per week.
