Tsunami Research was founded by the key members of the team that created PaylinX, a leading real-time enterprise payment processing solution for handling credit card and other financial transactions. While PaylinX was a success - eventually being sold to CyberSource in 2000 for $130 million - the team found that existing approaches to the development of mission critical solutions resulted in systems that were extremely complex and expensive. With Hive Computing, Tsunami Research has developed a new approach that enables businesses to create solutions that are simultaneously survivable, scalable, and affordable.
