The Garrett Law Firm was founded by Terry L. Garrett, formerly counsel to Cadwalader, Wickersham, and Taft, the oldest law firm in America. She worked with local lawyers to open Mitsui Yasuda in Tokyo in 1988 and and the Baker & McKenzie office in Taipei in 1977, gaining a deep, personal understanding of entrepreneurship and of Chinese and Japanese business cultures. She has also practiced in Singapore and on Wall Street and negotiated transactions in virtually every country in the Pacific Rim.
